Compassion and Collaboration are Key
A BIT ABOUT ME
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I discovered my passion for teaching at an early age while guiding my friends in how to play music from the radio on the piano. I really enjoy working with people, especially children, and love the thrill of understanding when something difficult “clicks” for the first time.
Even-though I was trained in my early years in Classical and Gospel music (for over 20 years) My experience also lies in in Lofi, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Soul, Afrobeats, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Acapella, R&B, Folk, recitals, auditions, concerts and art and photo exhibits as well.I would say that as a veteran teacher of School of Rock and M institute in Wash. DC My main goal is and always will be to present students with simplified ways by using all our senses (ears, eyes, voice, body, and mind) to learn music with holistic tools so that they may flourish in their medium of choice.
I have a personable yet uplifting fun style in my 1-on-1 and group lessons that has brought great results and I believe that learning should be fun and pressure-free to be able to expand the student's experience and skills.
To find out more about my approach, the types of courses I offer or even more of my background, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to give you more information.
Cheers,
Ms. P.
