🌙 Finding Harmony, One Note at a Time: Reflections from SING DC + Our Next Meetup 🎶

There’s something beautiful that happens when a group of people decides to keep trying together.

At our last SING DC gathering at Femme Fatale DC we sang “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper—a song filled with tenderness, longing, loyalty, and reassurance. It’s one of those songs that quietly wraps itself around you.

The lyrics remind us what it means to truly be there for someone… and also what it means to return to ourselves over and over again, even after moments of fear, confusion, or distance. There’s comfort in its softness. A gentle reminder that love, support, and connection can remain steady through life’s changes.

And whew… those harmonies 😅✨Some of them were challenging. There were moments where we had to pause, listen deeper, laugh through the awkward parts, and try again. But honestly? That’s part of the magic.Because even when the harmonies felt difficult individually, together they became something beautiful.

That’s what SING DC continues to teach us:community singing isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. Trust. Listening. Feeling. Supporting one another through the process until the sound finally clicks into place. And when it does? Goosebumps.

We’re carrying that same energy into our next meetup this Sunday the 17th from 12PM–1PM back at Femme Fatale DC and this one is going to be real FUN 🔥

We’ll be singing a classic tune by Michael Jackson, exploring harmonies, rhythm, movement, and all the joy that comes from making music together in community.

There will also be snacks this time around 🍊✨because singing, laughing, and connecting definitely works up an appetite.
