Real People. Real Harmonies. A Brighter You.

Some collaborations begin with a business idea. This one began with a little paper bird.

I recently met Miriam Juliana (MJ), the beautiful human behind Glass Class, and she shared with me a tender, sentimental story about why she brings people together through art.

As she was telling me her story, she was folding a little piece of paper in her hands. By the time she finished talking, she had made me a tiny origami bird. I was honestly moved.

There was something about hearing her story while watching her hands create something so simple and thoughtful. It felt like one of those small moments that carries a lot more meaning than you expect.

And I remember thinking, Okay… of course I want to do this with you.

So when MJ invited me to bring SING DC into her space, the answer was an easy yes.

Because I believe deeply in the ways art brings us back to each other.

And there is something really special about the space she has created at 52 O St NW. The neighborhood itself has stories tucked into it. There is history in the architecture, in the brick, in the streets, in the air, in the people who have passed through and made their mark here. You can feel it when you're there. So I thought… what better place to gather our voices?

This Friday, we'll bring SING DC into Glass Class for an evening of singing, creativity, and connection. We're not coming to put on a perfect performance. We're coming to sing together.

We'll learn and sing 2–3 songs, find some harmonies, listen to each other, laugh, maybe get a little messy with the music—and see what happens when a room full of real people decides to make something together.

That's always been the heart of SING DC for me.

You don't need to be a trained singer.

You don't need to know all the words.

You don't need to have the “perfect” voice.

Just bring yourself.

And maybe you'll leave with a little more connection than you came with.

Maybe even your own little paper bird. 🕊️
