Our December 6th Sing DC meetup was one we won’t forget. The air was cold, and the patio was brisk, but the energy, laughter, sun, and music kept us warm from the inside out. We took on the soulful Boyz II Men & Brian McKnight version of “Let It Snow.” The arrangement is rich, layered, and full of texture — and our community of singers rose beautifully to the challenge.

Three-Part Harmonies, One Heartbeat

Even while bundled in coats and scarves, we leaned into exploring 3-part harmonies. We listened closely to each other, adjusted our breath, blended our tones, and found that sweet spot where our voices met. There was a kind of freedom in the air — a willingness to try, to stretch, and to play — mixed with a loving attention to the details that make harmony feel magical.

Cold Hands, Warm Voices, Full Hearts

Despite the chilly weather, the joy was unmistakable. We sang through the cold with laughter, connection, and a lot of heart. The moment our voices came together on those lush harmonies, it felt like the whole patio lit up. These are the moments Sing DC was created for — community, courage, and creativity wrapped together in song.

Next Meetup — Indoors This Time!

Our next gathering will be this Sunday, December 21st from 12–1 PM at the Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library located at 3310 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008, Meeting Room #2 — right across from Femme Fatale DC shop. We’ll be singing “Someday at Christmas” by Stevie Wonder, continuing the joy in a warm, cozy indoor space. Even though we’re meeting indoors, we still want to support the neighborhood. After we finish singing, we’ll walk together to Femme Fatale DC for coffee, conversation, and connection.

Supporting Community

The spirit of community is at the heart of what we do. We believe in fostering connections through music. Our meetups are designed to bring people together, to share experiences, and to create lasting memories. This December, we invite you to join us in celebrating the season with song and camaraderie.

The meetup is free for the winter, and donations are welcome via the Ms. P & Co website to help sustain the choir. All are welcome. (Sign Up Here) Bring your heart, your voice, and your presence — we can’t wait to sing with you again.

The Magic of Music

Music has a unique ability to connect us. It transcends barriers and brings people together. Whether you are a seasoned singer or a beginner, there is a place for you in our community. Singing together creates bonds that last beyond the notes we sing.
